Aqueous SUP was founded with a simple yet profound love for paddleboarding, and deep connection and appreciation for our waterways. It all began on the mighty current of the Columbia River where our founder, Alisha Grow, decided to combine her enthusiasm for adventure with the desire to share the experience of SUP with others.
We are starting small as this company is a part-time endeavor with a single employee… a passion project. Our focus is on delivering SUP experiences tailored to our customers’ needs. Despite our small size, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional service, personalized attention, and unique adventures on the water. We strive to make every interaction with our company memorable and meaningful.
From the outset, Aqueous SUP is driven by a commitment to excellence in all we do – from customer service, safety, and environmental stewardship. Alisha crafted each course and guided tour to ensure every participant not only learns the necessary skills but also experiences the joy and peace that comes with gliding across the water.

Our certified instructors ensure that every experience is conducted with rigorous safety measures, comprehensive guidance and detailed instruction. Participants are equipped with proper safety gear. Our goal is to ensure that everyone enjoys their paddleboarding experience in a safe and controlled environment.

From our training to equipment and customer service, we are dedicated to providing exceptional lessons, tours, and experiences that exceed expectations. Our small class sizes or personalized coaching sessions allow for individualized attention, ensuring that beginners receive a solid foundation in techniques while advanced paddlers enhance and refine their skills.
We are committed to environmental stewardship and sustainability by advocating for Leave No Trace principles, emphasizing eco-friendly practices and educating on the importance of preserving our waterways. Through shoreline clean-ups, we actively contribute to the protection and preservation of the environments where we paddle.

As we look ahead, we envision expanding our reach, introducing new destinations and activities, and inspiring individuals of all ages and backgrounds to embrace the adventure, excitement, and joy of paddle boarding.
Our founder, Alisha Grow, is the heart and soul of Aqueous SUP. A lifelong lover of the water, water sports, and outdoor adventures, Alisha’s passion for paddleboarding ignited from her first glide and grew from there. Motivated by that experience, Alisha became an instructor and eventually founded Aqueous SUP with a mission to share her love for paddleboarding and inspire others to explore the world from a unique perspective.
Driven by a commitment to safety and quality, Alisha believes that continuous improvement and training play a pivotal role in the success and sustainability of her company. It is why she focuses educational opportunities in the off-season. She holds multiple SUP instructor certifications – ACA L1/L2 (flat water), ACA L3 (coastal), PSUPA L1 flat water, Sierra Rescue International RRC (swift water rescue). She also embodies a unique blend of expertise with a background in public safety and psychology.
Not only does Alisha focus on educational opportunities, she trains year-round. In the last 3 years, she averages 750 miles a year paddling (logged miles). She absolutely enjoys the water and the different disciplines within SUP – downwinding, racing, freestyle, long-distance and whitewater SUP. The longest Alisha’s paddled is 67 miles in less than 13 hours. Currently, she focuses on long-distance paddles and whitewater SUP in the off-season. Alisha has had the opportunity to work and train with some of the best in the industry!
Although Alisha loves the water, there’s nothing more satisfying to her than seeing a client’s face light up whether that be from trying SUP for the first time or achieving a goal.
